Country Life's Biochem 100% Whey Protein Now Made from Grass Fed Cows

Most nutritionists agree that beef from grass fed cows is better for you than beef from grain fed cows. What is the difference between the two?  According to authoritynutrition.com, cattle today are fed grains but the animals that our ancestors ate centuries ago roamed free and ate grass. Grain fed cattle start out eating grass as calves but later they are placed into feed lots. In these feed lots they are fed a soy and corn based grain with hormones to make them grow quickly and antibiotics in order to survive the harsh conditions there.  Grass fed cows live in the fields where they eat grass and shrubs for most of their lives.

The old saying, "You are what you eat," applies to the animals that we eat as well.  Grass fed contains less fat and calories than grain fed beef.  Grass fed beef also has more Omega3 fatty acids than grain fed beef and it contains about twice as much CLA as grain fed.  If you are trying to lose weight or gain muscle, CLA is a very important nutrient that you must have in your diet.

If you can't afford grass fed beef, or it is just not available where you live, try to eat more fish or supplement your diet with Country Life's Biochem 100% Whey Protein  which is now made with grass fed cows.

"At Country Life, we understand the needs of our customers and pride ourselves as leaders in innovation," said Tracy Kreider, N.D., board certified naturopthic doctor. "We offer one of the best complete protein powders available to maximize a healthy lifestyle."

Personally I am not a huge fan of the flavor of whey proteins, however, I value the health benefits. Whey protein is one of the easiest proteins for your body to digest and it contains one of the highest biological values, which means it's one of the most efficiently absorbed form of protein.

BioChem 100% Whey comes in three classic flavors with no artificial colors, flavors and sweeteners; a light Vanilla from Vanilla Beans, creamy Chocolate from Cocoa, and Natural.  All you need to do is blend it up with 3/4 c. of water.  I didn't care for the taste of the chocolate and was very hesitant to try the other flavors.  I am very picky about the taste of whey protein and there are very few brands out there that I like. But, if you regularly supplement your diet with whey protein I recommend that you try BioChem 100% Whey.
